“2019 Henan University Nano-Carbon Materials Summit Forum” hosted by the School of Physics and Electronics was held in Kaifeng from October 12th to 14th. More than 20 experts in the field of nano-carbon materials participated in the forum. Nearly 300 teachers and students from our school listen to the report. The opening ceremony of the forum was held on the morning of October 13th in the Academic Lecture Hall on the first floor of Zhongzhou Yihe Hotel. Liu Xiansheng, vice president of our school, and Professor Liu Zhongfan, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. The opening ceremony was presided over by Lu Yang, dean of the Institute of Science and Technology of our university.
Liu Xiansheng extended a warm welcome and thanks to the experts and introduced the long history and development status of Henan University. He said that the holding of the forum will strengthen the cooperation between Henan University and other universities and research institutes, promote the rapid development of Henan University's physics discipline, and promote the “double first-class” construction of our university. Academician Liu Zhongfan said that he was very pleased to be invited to participate in this summit forum with colleagues from various universities. He reviewed the process of acquaintance with Mr. Zhu Ziqiang of Henan University, and the great achievements on Henan University made in recent years. He praised and affirmed the rapid development of the company and hoped that all colleagues would take this opportunity to make suggestions for the development of the carbon material discipline of Henan University. The holding of this summit forum provided a platform for academic exchanges among experts and scholars activing in the field of nano-carbon materials, and also established a bridge for cooperation between our university and relevant universities, and promoted the development of our university and other universities based on carbon materials. At the same time, it has injected new vitality into our university's first-class discipline construction.
