On January 20th, the preliminary meeting of the Second Henan Physics Experiment Competition for college students and Physical Experimenta teaching was held in our school, hosted by Liu Pingan, the deputy director of the competition committee. Hou Xiaoqiang, director of the committee, He Hao, secretary-general of the committee and 32 representatives coming from 24 universities of Henan attended the conference.
Gu Yuzong, dean of School of Physics and Electronics, first extended a warm welcome to the delegates and introduced the history and current situation of the school, wishing the conference a complete success. Professor Zhang Weifeng, deputy director of the Henan Physical Society, reviewed the one-year work of the committee, and looked forward to the second session under the joint efforts of the colleagues. After that, he issued certificates to the elected members on behalf of the Henan Physical Society. Professor Hou Xiaoqiang made a special report on the history and current situation of the national college physics experiment competition and the experience of the first College Physics Experiment Competition. Dr. He Hao displayed the first prize innovative design works, and pointed out the matters needing attention in the future competition.
Liu Pingan announced <the second Henan Physics Experiment Competition for College Students and Physical Experimental Teaching seminar (draft)>, explaining the process, awards, timing etc. of the second competition. The delegates held a heated discussion, put forward relevant questions and suggestions, and formed a unified view.
After the meeting, the delegates visited ‘National Demonstration Center for physics and electronics experiment teaching’ and ‘innovation laboratory for students’ . They highly appraised the modern management towards the center and PE students’ persistence in the innovation laboratory, looking forward to active interaction and cooperation to achieve win-win results.
