In recent years, computing technology has developed rapidly. With the development of computing technology, applications of people's life, work or other aspects began to be intelligent. In the future, there will be a significant increase in the intelligent technologies and applications in all aspects of production and social life. Therefore, the research in the field of intelligence significant and valuable. Using computational intelligence and intelligent control methods to study complex systems from multiple point of views is a major challenge in scientific research in this field.


The research field of this laboratory is demanded by society. On the basis of the intelligent technology, the laboratory investigates intelligent applications and seeks new technology developments. On the basis of the existing research results, the research group mainly concerns the national strategic demand and the frontier of international research. The laboratory mainly focuses on the methods of intelligent design, control and computing intelligence of complex systems, the research of network system control methods, complex data analysis and processing method, and the multiple robot systems.

In the field of advanced computing methods, the laboratory mainly investigates the intelligent optimization methods, such as particle swarm optimization (PSO), memetic algorithm, multi-objective optimization and new hybrid algorithms.

In the field of intelligent applications, the laboratory is committed to applying the new intelligent optimization algorithm to actual production. At present, the research direction is intelligent design and optimization of information processing and computing system.
