Du Mingrong received her Ph.D. degree in education from the School of Physical Science and Technology, Southwest University, in 2008, majored in curriculum and teaching theory. Now, she is the director of the College Physics Teaching and Research Section at the School of Physics and Electronics, Henan University. Simultaneously,she is the member of the National Higher Physics Education Research Institute, and Ministry of Education College Physics Course Teaching Steering Committee in Central Southern Region Working Committee, and the executive member of Secondary School Physics Teaching Committee of Education Society of Henan Province.

The main research area is physics education. The research paper was published in《Comparative Education Review》、《Curriculum ,Teaching Material and Method》、《Elementary & Secondary Schooling Abroad》、《Educational Science Research》、《Physics and Engineering》、《China Examinations》and so on.She used to be the fourth national education master's excellent teacher, and used to get the second prize of Teaching Achievement Prizes at the national level and the first prize at Henan Province.
