Physics discipline is the specialty of Henan province. It engages to cultivate high-quality talents who have the ability to master the basic theory of physics, the essential knowledge and basic skills. After obtaining the preliminary training of scientific research, they are capable of teaching in the high and middle schools, and working in scientific research area in physics and related disciplines.


Graduates of this major are required to have basic theory, knowledge and preliminary ability of experimental research in physics. They can also grasp the basic theory and basic methods, and have the certain teaching training. Furthermore, they should be familiar with the education laws and regulations, and be able to master and perform the basic theory of pedagogy, psychology. Moreover, they have to understand the frontier theory, application prospect and development trend of physics, and have strong self-learning ability and initial ability to engage in scientific research; To master a foreign language, master the basic methods of literature retrieval and data inquiry, and have preliminary scientific research and practical working ability are also the essential requirements for them.


Degree:


(1)Flexible length of course: Basically 4 years,but students can finish their study during 3-7 years.

(2)Graduates will be awarded a bachelor degree in Science.


Credit requirements:

Students are request to earn 169 credits in total, which includes compulsory courses 109 credits(Public courses 38 credits; Disciplinary basic courses 35 credits; Professional basic courses 36 credits); Optional courses 39 credits (Professional courses 31 credits,Public courses 8 credits); Practical teaching 21 credits(including 7 special credits and Graduation Thesis 6 credits).
